I am Karine Peel, a Psychotherapist based in the Westmount, Montreal, Quebec serving French and English speaking adults of all ages, who are seeking psychotherapy to address a variety of challenges. These challenges can include ongoing concerns, a crisis, discovery, or changing unfavourable behaviors.

My therapeutic approach is a collaborative effort in which I assist my clients in developing tools and skills that enable them to effectively deal with their obstacles. My experience in working with patients in Europe and North America has shown that they do get better and almost always achieve the goals they set forth at the beginning of therapy.

I believe that an important quality to look for in a therapist is someone who is well qualified and that you feel comfortable with. I love my work as a psychotherapist, and consider it an honor and privilege to work with my clients and to share in their quest for personal growth. I received my Doctorate Degree in Medicine from the University of Latvia, and my psychotherapy degree from L’ Ecole Française d’Analyses Psycho-Organique (EFAPO) in France, where I received extensive training in all areas of psychotherapy. The EFAPO is the largest school of psychotherapy in France. Recently, I have completed 'Clinical Experiential Training in the Treatment of Eating Disorders' through the New Realities Eating Disorder Recovery Centre (Thornhill).

In the last 6 years I have travelled from France to Germany to Ontario, Canada and then to my current residence in Westmount, Quebec. The focus of my practice is to facilitate your innate ability for personal growth and to use my experience to help you bring about significant change.
